Australia is known for strange big spiders and large snakes. According to new survey, it has been home to one of the largest dinosaurs.
A huge dinosaur has been discovered as a new species. Newly named as “Australotitan cooperensis” lived on earth 100 million years ago.
It was 17-22 feet tall and 90-100 feet in length. Thus, making it the largest dinosaur species discovered.
It has been categorized in titanosaur family of dinosaurs.
It is estimated to be in the top five largest in the world. Its bone were discovered in Eromanga basin.
Scientists used 3D scan equipments to compare its bone with the reamins of relatives of dinosaurs. Till now, many dinosaur skeletons were found. But, this discovery is a major breakthrough.
